I purchased one about 40 years ago for what seemed like an awful lot of money. Doesn't seem so bad now it's had 40 years of use.

Bought the same HF version a few months ago, and it looks identical, down to the blow-mold case. Helped me with an old machine I'm disassembling.

The kind of tool you don’t want to use. But you’re so fking happy to have one when you need it

I have had one for 50 years. Mine is all metal, a necessity for removing the screws to split a motorcycle crankcase.

I’m curious, do they have small tips for this for tiny screws? I have a stripped screw & was wondering if I can hit this with a hammer into the screw & then unscrew it..

I twisted my impact to reverse direction. But, there no markings to know if you're turning Clockwise or Counter-Clockwise. Is there a method you know which direction its turning

Would have been great to mention in the "how to use" part of your video actually how to use instead of how an impact screwdriver does it's function. Explaining that you have to press the bit into the screw driver and turn to engage reverse or clockwise direction. There is no way to tell which direction it's set so until you hit with a hammer you may be tightening the screws instead loosening them.

Bought one and tried it on 4 Phillips metal screws Suzuki used in its vehicles. All I did was dent the metal where the screw is screwed in ... but no moving at all screw wise. You are not showing what size hammer you use but my screws did not move a millimeter, while the metal where these screws are bolted on dented !

When I see a tool like this I imagine engineers dreaming up new tools they'll have to design to get out the screws they put in a spot where they knew no one would ever be able to remove them ;)

When I worked as an automotive technician, I had a lot of brake screws to break loose. Eventually, my impact screwdriver fell apart. :-( The hardest part about using one was not letting the mechanism rotate my wrist instead of the screw.

How to reverse direction would be a good video

You must have one when working on a motorcycle too.

Yep it's one of those tools you don't use everyday but when you need one you sure wish you had it laying in the bottom of a drawer somewhere. That said, your link went to an $8.99 price, throw in a coupon on top of that. If it just works on couple screws before it breaks it will save me aggravation in the long run... And I get aggravated easily with anything that has a Phillips head.
