Harbor Freight Pittsburgh Impact Screwdriver Unboxing and Review

I picked up an impact driver at Harbor Freight. Is it too cheap to get the job done? What is in the box, and will it hold up to being hit with a hammer?

I have this tool and it works well. It even works with impact sockets in a pinch. I think it’s one of many HF tools that is worth the at home mechanic having in their toolbox.

Just bought one of these to try and get two hex screws loose. I had to buy an array of extra stuff to get a hex bit that will (I hope) work. Thanks for the video; very helpful and informative.

I'm looking forward to your disassembly video. The two that I've sen so far are very grainy and because of that the detail was hazy. I have one of these, no regrets so far.

Does it have a 1/2 inch or 3/8 drive? Harbor Freight's website doesn't specify.

If L is to loosen, then compared to the user guide neglected in the beginning, I think at 2:54 you say and then set it the wrong way, to tighten.

Mine losens when I twist it the right. Odd on mine.

You're Supposed to Turn It While Hitting It At The Same Time .

The instructions are unclear as to how to change the direction of travel of the driver. Supposedly it will work in either direction.

Probably should have read the instructions first on setting the proper orientation. Kind of important. LOL I had to put a screw in a block of wood and try it first to figure it out. I was hoping this video would help me avoid that NOPE. Worthless

This thing is not very good. Hit it all you want, it may turn, if you hold tension on it, and your tongue is pointed in the right direction. It is excellent for destroying smaller screws. Good tools don't cost 10 dollars.
