Only if D&D hadn’t butchered the story

so what if the writing was better in the show.
we can only dream.
good idea with the story line.

A great theory would be if Marcella is the younger more beautiful Queen who casts Cersei down - Cersei in her narcissism views her children as extensions of herself. The humiliation would ignite so much rage.

this would just have been dance of dragons without the dragon.

This is a good 'what if'. Meanwhile, Myrcella currently resides in Dorne, minus an ear.

The book plotline for Dorne was 100 times more interesting than what the show came up with. Doran Martel was a political schemer on the same level as Tywin, the Sand Snakes had actual personalities and different ideas of how to get revenge, Arianne and Quentyn both had more compelling side plots than anything that was covered in the show.

Tommen is only 7 or maybe 8 in the books so his & Margaery’s marriage isn’t 100% legal because Tommen is too young to consummate the marriage. Cersei is still queen regent in the books. Also in the books, making Myrcella Queen wasn’t the Dornish plan, it was Princess Arianne’s plan. Arianne Martell was going against her father’s plan of having her younger brother Quentyn marry Daenerys. That’s why Arianne’s plan failed miserably and Myrcella was very badly injured and almost killed in the Queen Maker chapter of the books.

This would have been called the war of 4 queens the queens being Daenerys, Marcella, Cerci, and Margery

Dornish law... is only Dornish law. It applies only in Dorne.
(And neither Tommen nor Myrcella have a legitimate claim anyway.)

Poor Jaime, all he ever wanted to do was sleep with his sister with no consequences....

She could had been a good queen, she was beautiful like her mother, but had none of her evil and wicked nature, she was bold and brave, she had her grandfather Twyn and uncle Tyrion wits and cunnings, she has a strong will, but she is kind with a good hearth, she doesn't let Joffrey bully her, even Joffrey couldn't intimidate her, she knows how to defend herself from him.

That's how Myrcella character is described in the books.

The Queenmaker plot failed in the books but imagine if it succeeded in the show. For that though, they would have needed Arianne, which they've cut from the series.

While it does not make sense for Dorne to support a Lannister's claim, that would still have been an improvement over the "bad poosay" storyline we got in the show.

This is pretty much what the books are doing and honestly it was a pretty huge oversight on Tyrion's part for not seeing this as a possibility but either way not only is this more interesting but it could have been better if while she is convincing tommen to give her the throne the sand snakes start a full on rebellion in dorne

Honestly Dumb & Dumber shouldn't have been involved with the show at all.
Half of the show they made so many unnecessary changes and when George & HBO wanted to have the series go all the way to season 10, Dumb & Dumber opted out for Star Wars and failed Season 8 so badly Disney didn't want them anymore.

Yeah but that’s Dorne the Royal Succession is males from male lines over females. Stannis is actually even ahead of Mrycella

But thats Dornish law, not the law of the Crownlands. Such a rebellion would easilly be smothered by not only how clearly illigitiment such a claim is, but also by the five kings already trying to get their asses on that hunk of metal.

It'd be an improvement over what we got.

But that's not saying much.

What if the younger queen in the prophecy was actually her? That would be interesting🤔

I don't think this would really work, especially in regards to House of the Dragon (The show) and in real life where the more likely is that a male would take over the throne. Either way, Tommen had the more legitimate claim to the throne as a male, and if Tommen were to die, the throne would skip to the next male heir, Stannis or Renly (if they were alive). The only reason it would fall to Myrcella is if there are no males alive (Stannis, Renly, Tommen, or another closely related male Baratheon). Even then, mostly because of Westerosi tradition, they would probably find some far-off family or even legitimize one of Robert's bastards to have them ascend the throne (the main reason why Joffrey killed off all of those bastards in King's Landing since they would have a better claim to the throne).

These ideas are somewhat present in House of the Dragon as well, and I think GRRM mostly adopted these ideas from IRL England when (I believe) Elizabeth the First was vying for power.

It makes me so happy that Cersei makes fun of Jamie by calling him a cripp le when he lost his hand and then Marcella loses an ear.
