90% of shark attacks take place in 3 feet of water within 20 feet of shore. It's where sharks like to look for food - they parallel the beach in the trough that breaking waves make, looking for food. Anything they bump into they will likely bite, to see if it is edible

Thinking you're going to catch the exact shark that's responsible for the attack is dumb because there are actually many of these sharks in the water all the time. And to kill any shark for doing what sharks do in their own home is just wrong !! We are the intruders into the sharks home !! When we get into the home of the sharks we should understand that they are unpredictable and be respectful of their home ! Getting into the ocean is a risk we all should understand.

Hi from Scotland! It really pees me off when things like Rewards for catching a shark that injured a swimmer are on offer!! Humans take the dumb risk to go in the water, then moan when attacked! I go over shark attacks all the time. And I watch how they hunt other prey. Just like a GW does seals. The sharks always patrol areas of prey waiting for openings. You think when a drone records GW around us they are just there by chance? All there sensors all that ocean they can and do avoid us when they want. You people really can't connect the dots. The sharks are always patrolling around us waiting for openings. That's how they hunt us humans. That's why it seems like they are always just so happen to be in the right place at the right time.
