you dont need 2 conveyors. furnace out -> conveyor -> box -> furnace in, all raw and smelted materials listed in conveyor. this is usually how i build furnace rooms. then from the dump box, pull whatever cooked materials you want to storage boxes deeper in the base

Prefer doing just the 9 on the top shelf. i use armored doors so the area becomes mostly inaccessible anyway. I put boxes underneath, BBQ in middle. with only 9, you can power the furnaces and an autoturret with 1 passthrough power for a smart alarm, using only a medium battery.
It's plenty fast with only 9.

Ty for the video! Used it myself. Got 1 more tip! 😂 first upgrade the walls tho the quality u want before installing the pipes. Otherwise there is a change that the pipes brakes after upgrading the wall where the pipes are on. Happend to me couple of times😅

Solid set up. As a solo I usually run 3 electric for metal and 2 wood furnaces for sulfur and wood. and set a limit to 800 wood in the conveyer with a require all setting. that way I don't burn down a box of wood on accident.

No joke i've been trying to find out why my 9 furnace smelter wasnt working and the simple change of adding the igniter fixed all of it. Thank you for being the only one that helped!!

Good information for any of us who've struggled with the industrial update. I don't need a ton of char, so electric furnaces are my go to after I get .5 to a full box of char and that will last me for a wipe. Even a small box is usually sufficient.

i did this with 6 furnaces before ur vid then I saw the outdated one with the splitters and I was confused as to why u were doing it like that when u can daisy chain. gj on updating it and making it the best way possible.
