The Actual SIMPLEST Auto Smelter in Rust in Just 42 Seconds!

Показать описание
The auto smelter is probably the single best industrial circuit to know in Rust. This one is super simple and an improvement over my previous video. It dramatically improves the resource management side of base work. This circuit is easy to learn, cheap, and can be done in a matter of minutes. All you need is some boxes, an electric furnace, a power source and at least a small battery, storage adaptors, some conveyors, and a wire + pipe tool. This is one of the first things I do after getting guns in a wipe to make sure we're smelting consistently as we try to progress. It can also be expanded to include an oil refinery on the same premise.

Tipp: You can use this same method with multiple furnaces you just need more power. Connect the output of one furnace to the next and so on and then just connect the last furnace to the box. Many people build conveyors everywhere but you only need one.

I love these super short tutorials. Thank You for not wasting my time!

This setup, somewhat unintuitively, does not require using 2 conveyors or even filters. Which is great! But to make more advanced systems you'll need to pick up a few more tricks

Also, thank you to everyone who left comments in the last video and helped me make this better. I appreciate it and am enjoying using this even simpler version myself. you folks are a great community!

That acknowledgment at the end increased my already high esteem for you and your content a good bit. Love the video.

My go to setup is for this is
Solar panel into small battery, small battery into splitter, 2 splits into 2 furnaces, one into conveyer, conveyer passthrough into the conveyers power on port so it wont shut off ever.
Twice the smelting, 0 effort.

Getting back into rust and these simple tutorials are just the thing I needed. You earned yourself a sub my dude.

If you connect the "Filter Pass" from the conveyor to the "Power On" on the Electric Furnace it will automatically switch on for you when it fills it up. You still have to turn it off yourself though.

Could you make a video on how to make the easiest automated wood furnace setup? Meaning a setup of let's say 3 furnaces to make charcoal but also to smelt ore while using the wood?

Or maybe a combination of one normal one one that electric furnace....i always have no charcoal nowerdays

I just started playing Rust recently and randomly started figuring out electrical and pipeline stuff on my own. I figured everything out on my own, but the one thing I was too dumb to notice were the electrical passthroughs... I kept using many electrical splitters to power everything directly and made everything way too complicated. If you hadn't used the passthrough in this video, I would have never noticed

what are the other power connections on the furnace for?

i saw wiljum hooked up a vending machine to a smelter where he sold frags for ore at a 10% tax, wonder what you could do if you got a bending machine, smelter and industrial crafter.

Need most simple anti raid system, that's connected to at least 4 main loot boxes in a loot room that gets siphoned/ split evenly, when broken, into external bunker tc storages

i always thought u needed conveyors going both way but ig im wrong lol. very useful if this does work

If you need more furnaces you can just connect the furnaces together and everything runs through. It actually works with regular furnaces too but everytime you run out of wood you have to turn it on.
