Saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation.

False teachers redefine faith as obedience and belief as total commitment.

Let's help them with the Biblical definition of faith.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen.

There are no works required up front or through the back door.

Protestants generally backload works into the gospel message.

Actually, no. No. Justification is someone being DECLARED righteous. And if you believe the charity of faith that justifies is GOD'S CHARITY TOWARD THAT SINNER, CHARITY TOWARD THE SINNER....then yes, you can include charity in the discussion. Because saving faith is a faith that had a beginning, even though that faith will later grow.

I can't tell if this is a joke or just Thomism

Christ be with you
If faith is formed by charity it is not alone.
Faith Hope and Love are not the same thing.

And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. (1 Cor 13:2)
So faith, hope, love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. (1 Cor 13:13)

In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.
He who has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me; and he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.” (John 14:20-21)
Jesus answered him, “If a man loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.
He who does not love me does not keep my words; and the word which you hear is not mine but the Father’s who sent me. (John 14:23-24)

You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone. (James 2:24)
This man calls something faith alone which is not.
It is Faith.
it is Catholic teaching
God bless you
