Don’t mean to be rude at all, but, I have spent a very long time trying to figure out how this works (about 1hr 20mins total), do you have any tips?

Edit 3: quick question, do I do the slip knot before or after the cast on?

Why so fast if you are intending to teach this. Not so easily seen. Slow down
