I really hate to be negative here, but I am disappointed in those praising this video and saying it's "genius, " etc., when in fact this is nothing but very basic, rudimentary knowledge that anyone should know how to do. Not knowing how to update this system (not being able to find it) is just embarrassing. It couldn't be easier and should not requite YouTube tutorials.

If someone wants to do something actually impressive, then find out how to truly update this TV, not just run through these elementary level commands. These TV's have been plagued with an inability to update. One could have this TV for years and it will ALWAYS say that "your system is up to date, " when in fact, these TVs NEVER update!

My tv said that it has a undate available, so I installed it. The update was completed but now my tv won't turn on. Ive only had this tv less than 7 months.

Many thanks I would have never found it. One more thing is how to scan for TV broadcast channels again with out a full reset. My 50“ Hisence android TV in in an RV. When we travel to a new destination I would like to rescan for new channels. After you do it the first time the option disappears.
