The pricing structure from apple is pure genius. The basic iPad with nothing is cheap, but the minute you want something extra like a pencil or storage, it’s so high, the model next up seems tempting and a good buy, until you don’t like the base storage and you end up justifying the apple iPad Pro and paying triple what you intended.

It’s my first iPad and I love it. It’s never laggy and I can do pretty much a lot of the things I need. I don’t need a laptop replacement since I already have one myself, so I really had no reason to buy the more expensive models. And the mini is too small for me, I like a bigger screen.

I recently bought the 64GB Model of the IPad 9, and it's honestly the best purchase I made. There are a number of features that really help me with my online classes.

My wife and I were sharing her ipad pro for a couple years, I decided to get the ipad 9th gen and man I love it. I just use it for streaming, skype/messenger/facetime and browsing and it fulfills my needs. I never notice any slowdown and battery life is heaven. My kids are still using an ipad 1st gen and it keeps ticking. I expect this one to last a long long time.

I do love the 9th gen, though I personally decided to go with the mini 6, just generally due to the fact I prefer the smaller form factor + build quality, for me I found it worth it spending the $150-$250 extra.

I was gonna get the iPad 9, but I ended up grabbing the 2020 iPad Pro. Would’ve gotten the M1 2021, but i wanted one now and I was able to get the 2020 for $600. Figured I’d wait till a new one gets announced this year. However, This thing handles my work flow flawlessly. I can’t imagine an upgrade being worth it for me within the next 2 years.

iPad 9 is absolutely one of the best deals in tech right now. It’s very capable and I’d recommend it to anyone. However, even though my institution gave me one to use which I have around it just isn’t for me, I use a 12.9” M1 iPad Pro + Magic Keyboard which allows me to leave my laptop at home because of better screen real estate, comparative typing experience, and memory storage. I’d say buy the iPad 9 or iPad Air unless you absolutely know that you would get more use out of the pro as is my situation.

I can’t tell you guys enough how good and convenient the touch id is on the ipad 9. It is super convenient as compared to the lock button touch id and face id. Secure and fast. Get the ipad 9 guys.

Great episode! I really like the iPad 9 but to be honest my iPad 7 (128Gig) still works great and I even get many, many hours out of the battery!

I was gifted one of these and after using it for a couple of weeks, I'm blown away by how good it is at the things tablets are good for. It's not replacing my desktop computer by any means, but it's far better than the old laptop I had been using when I needed something portable and I guarantee that cost more than the $270 these are selling for currently.

I was watching your vids when debating to get the ipad 9th gen (64gb was in stock everywhere for pickup) and then you released this video and I tried buying one the next day and they were all sold out EVERYWHERE because classes are starting up again. I was finally able to get one shipped from target but as far as picking up or buying online from other places were all sold out from one day to the next. A lot of people in San Antonio watch your channel that’s for sure 🙌🙌!

I wanted to buy iPad 9th generation but then heard of a possible iPad Air 5 with center stage upcoming spring. Waiting couple of months more won't be that big of a deal. Still, iPad 9th gen is the best deal in tech right now.

I do think this, together with the M1 MacBook Air, is the best overall product Apple makes.

I just replaced my Mini 5 with an iPad Pro I got for personal use as a benefit from my company, but if not, I’d really consider this - and if I would consider the 9 (even though I’d probably have waited for an updated Air), then it’s a stellar device for somebody like my dad, as you mentioned, as this is such a well rounded package.

I just got the 9th gen ipad with 64 gb to replace my broken 7th gen ipad I had. and so I am satisfied with it so far really fast and very responsive and am also loving the true tone feature too. The 9th gen Definitely is worth buying. And am also watching this vid on the iPad too.

I bought the IPad last year in September and it generally works fine for me. I bought it so I could use it every day in school (8h per day), but I kind of regret that I didn’t buy the iPad Air, because sometimes if I want to write something very fast or I want to correct a word very quick and precisely, the pencil isn’t always hitting the exact spot (so my font looks bad) because of the non-laminated display.
So I think if you’re really on a budget and you don’t want to spend too much, you should go with the iPad 9.
But if u want to use the iPad like me every day in school, you have the money for the iPad Air and you want to use your iPad the next few years I would go with the iPad Air. The Apple Pencil 2nd generation also feels better and you have some other advantages with the iPad Air as well.

Thanks for a great review, I am new to iPad and happened to buy the Gen9 after some research.

I did. My 1918 model had a failing battery and I do not replace batteries on five year old equipment. I got it for $229 off Amazon, yesterday. I got a new leather cover and screen cover, plus the IPad, for $278 and change. I might have saved a few more bucks waiting until Black Friday but I needed it, because I was tired of plugging in my old IPad every hour or so.
