For me, I can’t beat the portability of the iPad mini. When I’m on the go I want to easily read, takes notes or play games. I don’t see myself going back to anything bigger.

I got the Air 4 and pencil gen 2 in Feb since I started studying part time this year and it's the best thing I've spent my money on ever. It's great for studying from work too when I have time and with ebooks and pdfs I haven't written on paper in months! It's not the newest anymore but perfect for what I use it for and I'll be using it for years :)

I went for the ipad mini 6th gen as an alternative for studying and note taking from my laptop so I won't have to carry the latter everywhere, I love the convenient portability and the design in general it's so cute. Can't wait until it arrives!

I watched 20 videos comparing the iPads while asking… “which one should I get??” Mostly it’s men speaking so fast, nearly yelling at the watcher. I have to say, yours is the BEST video I’ve seen. Thanks for putting this video out there! It really helped me out. You are so relatable and easy to understand.

As a student, I use the iPad mini alongside my MacBook pro and it’s amazing! I have small hands so it fits perfectly! I think the screen size isn’t so bad when used with a computer!

I used a 16 gb iPad Air 2 during my med school days and I used it for 4 years until I upgraded to the iPad Air 4. So I think you’re so right, the space in it depends on what you need it for.

!MUSICIANS!
12’9 is awesome for sheet music. It is similar size to A4 / Letter page. For me, it replaced 100s of pages, which had to be meticulously organized. It’s so much easier to stay organized now 😎 Also, Mini-LED is a fantastic screen (not necessarily needed for sheet music, but for everything else it’s a bomb!).

I own the base iPad 9th generation. I have an Apple Pencil 1, a Zugu brand case...and a Tech Armor matte screen protector. I'm an artist and I use Procreate a lot. All I have to say is that I LOVE my iPad experience. I don't need anything more than the base model which is a perfect size and syncs up to my two phones. Since I also gave a Dell laptop and extension monitor, I'm all set.
I enjoyed your review and I agree with most of what you said.

this was the most common sense ipad guide i’ve watched so far, and i’ve watched a hunch the last few days. inloce that you recommend the ipad air, because that’s the one where i see the most value in. and a lot of reviewers will say that the air does not have enough memory, and upgrading to 256gb of memory brings you $50 from a base pro. that’s fine and good, but 64g is plenty for me because i only need it to surf the web, emails and youtube and streaming movies. i have a macbook for my computing needs. i love the ipad because i love the functionality of my iphone 13 max, and i want to experience that similar, super fast experience with the air. so please stopped comparing an upgraded air to a base 11 l inch pro, compare base to base. thank you for your wonderful review, and i’ll be getting the air

I just got my mini 6 and apple pencil 2. I love how small it is, it fits in my purse backpack. I don't find the screen to be too small but this is my first ipad. Ive been journaling on it quite a bit and I just zoom in and out a lot.

Thanks for your review! I am also a chemist, finishing my PhD but I want to start using electronic notebook and I see many academics make notes on these when watching guest lectures etc… also much better for travel when I hardly take out my lap top on a trip /day of lab work but it’s heavy to bring the laptop in. Thinking of the air. Thank you 💗

Great comparison video and solid advice. I bought the 2021 11” pro when it was announced for the Thunderbolt port so I could capitalise on full monitor support but alas, properly sold down the river in that respect. I also bought it for portability (foregoing the mini LED display), unfortunately the more I use it for taking notes or using it for work the more I wish I had gone for the 12.9”. I complimented it with the magic keyboard and apple pencil and they are a fantastic accompaniment. From a storage perspective, base storage for me. I have the 2TB iCloud storage and OneDrive with a small portable SSD for those emergencies when I don’t have access to the cloud.

Actually, you can get both the 11" and 12.9" iPad Pro equipped with 2TB of storage if you so choose. You don't need a larger size to have that jump in storage.

I traded in the Pro for the Mini. I’m not sacrificing value, and it’s extremely portable without being bulky/heavy. I hated how heavy the IPad Pro got with the keyboard case as well, but I find the keyboard, since the pass through charging is awesome

I had the iPad Air 4 but needed a bigger screen. I ended up buying a refurbished 12.9 inch iPad Pro. Now I want an iPad mini because it’s more compact 😵‍💫
