About 25 years ago my brother and I were on a road trip through the US and stopped at a bar in Butte, , Montana for a couple of drinks. A guy there picked our accents and bought us drinks all night: turns out he was a Vietnam vet who was badly injured and evacc'd and treated by Australians. He swore he would've died without us, and this was a way for him to say thanks. It was very humbling for me.

As an Aussie, I am deeply grateful for your review of our Special Forces. Respect is earned, never given. You have our respect. Thx

Australians are a different breed man! That leather skin and steel personality makes them a force of nature. May be a small country but they are our kin. Respect from the US 🇺🇲

If only Australian media and government had this much respect for Aussie troops

I remember when AUS withdrew from Iraq & Condaliza Rice made the press announcement. A reporter asked "Are you disappointed that Australia is withdrawing?" C.R. gave a wry smile & replied "Australia & disappointment are not words we use in the same sentence."
I always enjoyed working with the yanks. Your logistics organisation is just phenomenal!

It’s so good to see an American that realises how much Australia has America’s back. I see a lot of Americans that don’t understand how important we view the Australian/US alliance. I’m saying this as an Australian. Every war the US has been in ( since we became a nation in 1901) the Australia army has been there as allies.

I'm Australian. It's a relief to have the U.S. as an ally. Greatly appreciated.

One thing about Australians is their honour.

If they sign up to watch your back, you can bet your life and then some, that they will honour that commitment no matter what

As a return statement mate I trained with and deployed with Americans (predominately USMC). Absolutely loved working with them. Especially the Texans and Kentuckians👊 Hats off mate👍

As an Australian civilian, I noticed a direct correlation between when they did training exercises in town the next ANZAC day had higher attendance and Remembrance day had higher donations. The training exercises are an excellent reminder of why we have the lifestyle, rights and freedom that we do. Thank-you.

Thank you brother. As an Aussie Veteran of Timor, Iraq and Afghanistan, my US 🇺🇸 Brothers in Arms were by far the very best and most enjoyable comrades to work with.
Proud GRUNT 🇦🇺🇺🇸🗡️🛡️

I've worked with a few Aussie aircraft mechanics during my time in aviation and they were a fine, upstanding bunch of guys. Thanks for another awesome video 👍

You know what I love about the Aussie special forces, when you work with them, they're incredibly nice, incredibly supportive, positive and will drop whatever they're doing to help you out whenever they can even if it hinders them. I witnessed so many people try out for the special forces and it was a great reassurance because those who were cocky, rude or just didn't have time for people never passed the selection because passing the selection also accesses your personality too, you could be a physical god on the field but if your personality isn't great, you aren't cut for it.
