Finland troops in a fierce gun battle with Russian soldiers in Ukraine. Footage shows Finnish volunteers in an intense gun battle with Russians near Chernihiv, north of Ukraine. Dozens of Finns are thought to have fought in the war, both on the Russian and Ukrainian side. At least three have been killed while fighting in the Ukrainian ranks.

This is an old video from many months ago showing a reconnaissance patrol of the Foreign Legion coming across Russian fortifications and trenches and making a tactical retreat. There may be some Finns in this unit, but it is definitely not a unit composed only of them...

Finns have not fought for Russia. A few ethnic Russians holding Finnish citizenship have fought for Russia. Big difference.

That said feeling sorry for everyone who has to fight in such terrain... Finnish forests offer plenty natural cover. This one could pass as a park over there.

I'm sure Ukrainians love their land but honestly the geography doesn't do any favors. You guys are an absolute mad lads. Lots of open fields, steppes and the forests are like this. Hopefully you will manage somehow. Best of luck. 🙏
