Harley Davidson's stand alone. Nothing is directly comparable. It doesn't have to be the fastest, or lightest or even the best looking, it's a great experience to roll on a hog. All the other bikes can compare themselves to each other but to compare them to a Harley is like comparing an apple to an orange.

i like the r18, rebel 1100 7 speed auto is a level all its own, so is the new goldwing. i own 3 gl1000"s. my 1975 gl1000 is and will always be my # 1. a lever in compartment to attach and kick start if need be. 600lbs, 80 hp 50 ftlbs torque, 5 speed trans. changed out the carbs to webers, no more carb problems. came without luggage, still no luggage. im retired 67 year old, when im bored there is a harley that needs fixing. when its time to ride an old honda gets it done. nothing on your list is repairable without a dealership.

The Triumph T 120 is cool and very historical has a great racing past . The Indian is ok, forget the rest .

I’ve ridden Harley’s for many years and there’s nothing else quite like it. Granted there are some fantastic motorcycles out there. The Indian Scout Bobber looks like it can replace the discontinued air cooled Sportster as a good entry level American made bike. As I age Harley’s are getting a little on the heavy side, I am starting to look around for a lighter alternative.Any suggestions?

Forward pegs don't impress, safety issue in my mind. Pegs should be centrally located for best balance and control.
