It goes without saying that practically any motorcycle could be turned into a bagger if you equip it with pair of saddle bags. However, riders usually place into this class only cruiser-styled models that are meant for longer distance travel, while maintaining agility and open feel. Besides obvious factory equipped cargo accessories, these bikes usually sport windshields, more comfortable seats, plusher suspensions and larger tanks. In today’s episode of Automotive Territory, we will be showing you the very best baggers available on today’s market.

Informative releases that previously appeared on #AutomotiveTerritory:

List of all vehicles shown in this this release of the #ATmotorcycles series:

2020 Indian Challenger family includes 3 models: the base, Dark Horse, and Limited. All three bikes are built on an all-new cast aluminum chassis with an inverted front fork and a hydraulically adjustable Fox rear shock, and come featuring the company’s most powerful V-twin yet.

Fully redesigned this year, the 2020 Indian Springfield Dark Horse boasts of a radically different exterior, improved tech, and an all-new Thunder Stroke 116 engine with 1900cc of displacement.

The entry level Wing is entering the new decade with quite a few extra features to enhance both performance and styling. Unlike the Tour modifications, the bagger gets a chopped-down windscreen and black out treatment with red accents.

The Star Eluder is basically a simplified version of Yamaha’s touring flagship the Star Venture for the riders who prefer solo riding and more aggressive leaner look. The model is built around a solid hybrid chassis.

Available exclusively in the stunning Imperial Blue color, the 2020 Vulcan 1700 Vaquero comes with a 1700cc V-Twin engine, equipped with fuel-injection and liquid cooling. It also features ABS brakes, electronic cruise control, and the company’s advanced coactive braking technology.

The entire 2020 Indian Chieftain lineup is being upgraded with the new 116 cubic inch Thunder Stroke V-Twin that delivers class-leading torque of 126 pound-feet at as low as 2,900 rpm and comes standard with rear cylinder deactivation and 3 selectable ride modes.

One year ago, it seemed that the Street Glide family simply cannot become better, but Harley Davidson have proved us wrong making fractional improvements for the 2020.

If we are talking long distance touring, the Road Glide is considered by many riders as a benchmark machine that runs mile after mile with ease. In 2020 the bagger version of this model is represented by three versions,: standard, Special and CVO with a mind boggling $41,000 price tag.

Riding on the Softail platform the Heritage Classic is a compromise between Harley’s upmarket cruiser and an entry level tourer. This model is offered in two configurations: a classic chrome wearing trim equipped with a Milwaukee 8 107 V-Twin engine and a blacked out Milwaukee 8 114 variant.

Apart from the Asian giants, there are few motorcycle manufacturers that can compete on equal terms with Harley-Davidson in the cruiser-bagger segment. Among them is BMW and the company’s K1600 B bike.

2020 Motoguzzi MGX21 is one of the most technological and futuristic models by the Italians. It is built around 1380сс V-twin air and oil cooled 90° Transverse V-twin with 97 horses and 89 lb-ft of torque, that features state of the art electronic control system with ride-by-wire throttle, selectable power maps, patented traction control and cruise control.

I like the classic Street Glide best ... 😎
That Guzzi’s styling looks a bit like something Adam West Batman would have ridden ... I quite like it ... lol

The 117 doesn't even come close to 125 ft-lbs of torque lol. It cannot hang with an eluder or challenger at all.

Most of these bikes are way, way, overpriced. They are slowly thinning down the rider segment until noone wants to ride anymore. And if that's not enough, wait til you need it fixed and pay an arm and a leg. Don't expect factory to stand behind the warranty either. Its really a shame because riding is a blast!

I can’t believe you left the Indian Roadmaster off the list.

How does the Star Eluder keep making these lists? It was available 1 year only....2018. Yamaha never gave it a chance.
