Video Summary:
Acetylcholine released from parasympathetic nerve endings makes cells of the SA node less excitable and thereby decreases heart rate. Whereas noradrenaline released from sympathetic nerve endings makes the cells of the SA node more excitable and thereby increases heart rate.

How does Calcium change the threshold potential?

Hello. I love your videos and I watch it all the time it help me a lot. I just have a question are you sure that decreasing intracellular calcium will change the threshold value (increased), what I know that threshold is a constant value doesn't change, rather decreasing calcium influx will decrease the AP velocity not change the the threshold value (since calcium channels is mainly responsible for depolarization > less calcium channel > less depolarization velocity)

thank you sir! but i wanna ask why does Na not contribute to decreasing threshold in sympathetic activation??

This is very very great ♥️♥️♥️
But I want to know how parasympathetic predominates sympathetic during rest?!

Reading this trying to find an answer why I keep getting ectopic beats. What causes them? Sympathetic or parasympathetic? Anything I can do besides meditation and no caffeine, alcohol to stop them? I have tried so much and suffered for 5 years 😢 thanks 🙏
