Never have I enjoy learning medical material so much. Again, thank you Dr. Mike. You are God send.

A much easier way to remember this is to think of alpha 1 ( constrict ) alpha 2 ( decrease ) and beta 1 ( contract) and beta 2 ( dilate ) so this way agonists and antagonists simply stimulate and inhibit.

Eg b1 cardio selective receptor blocker...atenolol....b1 think..contraction...beats faster....b1 blocker...slows down

Clonidine....alpha 2 agonist...alpha 2....decreases...so by stimulating it, less noradenaline is released..blood pressure drops.

Think always a1 constrict a2 decrease b1 contract b2 dilate....you cant go wrong....if you want hints for the cholinergic system let me know.
