Islam is easy, but people make it complicated. Allah has given us clear guidelines.

To everyone that is of the opinion that women should stay at home and not work:I assume that you are also fine with the fact that your wives, sisters and mothers have to visit male doctors, surgeons and gynecologists.
Sincerely a female Muslim doctor who didn't stay at home.

Being a Muslim is so hard these days. Every other person, even Muslims themselves keep on saying how Islam oppresses women. Nouman Ali Khan is truly a gem amid these❤️

Of course Muslim ladies can do job. Quran says, O muslim lady! Go outside but honor yourself and get covered properly. Hadith shows when a muslim lady asked the prophet s a w, to whom she should do charity, and prophet said, " to your husband ", who was disable . She can do business, can be a teacher, doctor but her primary responsibility is her home, her kids because she is " hafizaat ", guardian of her husband's house, kids, earning, and honor.

Khadeejah bint Khuwaylid (may Allaah be pleased with her) DID NOT ENGAGE DIRECTLY IN TRADE herself, rather she used to employ men to work on HER BEHALF❕

I think people forget that the first wife of the holy prophet (s.a.w.) and the person to accept Islam was Khadijah (radi allahu anha) who was a businesswoman.
I think it's important for the Muslimeen to learn about the prominent women in Islam even on YouTube. Lady Khadijah (ra) was just one of the examples. Asma' bint Abu Bakr as Siddique was another example of the women in Islam, she was the first who provided aid to the Prophet and Abu Bakr as Siddique when they were hiding in the cave of thawr. She would keep food and water in her belt to take to the prophet pbuh and her father for which Prophet Muhammed (s.a.w.) nicknamed her dthat al nitaqayn. She gave birth to the first Muslim son in the Muslim population, and during the time she was married, she would graze horses and help her husband in the farm. She was also tested by Allah swt when her son was martyred. And she also contributed to the hadith. She is just one of the many examples of the women in Islam.

I can tell you its not easy for a woman to follow the shariah at work because one, free mixing is rampant. In fact youre expected to be friendly with your male colleagues and at meetings theres no such thing as "mens table" and "womens table". Its common to see men and women sitting together, laughing..and its not strange to hear of workplace affairs. Then, you may also be expected to travel and stay in hotels or whatever. Without mahram. Apart from that, the work culture itself may expect women to adorn herself so you see muslim women with fitting suits, makeup, high heels, branded handbags because you have to look "presentable". Hijab? What hijab? Maybe there are exceptions but most workplaces are not shar'i.

Great. A man is telling us what to do. He has no idea how challenging it is to have two jobs because, let's face it, men don't do anything around the house, carry the mental load of what the kids, house, etc., need.

Şu an kadınlar çalışıyor diye günaha giriyormuş gibi davranan "kadınların fıtratı" yemek yapmak, bulaşık yıkamak üzerine kurulu, önrmli işlere elinizi sürmeyin diyen veya öyle bir izlenim yaratmaya çalışan herkese Allah daha derin düşünebilme yeteneği versin diyorum. Son anda kendimi tutup hayır duasına çevirdim. Bu çok zordu...

I don't understand people. Rasullulah SAW said whoever has two daughters and educates them and marries them to good men will enter Paradise. So what is the purpose of the education? Women can have careers as long as it does not contradict the Islamic teachings. We should have more women in healthcare and teaching. Especially in non Muslim countries. A Muslim woman most usually ends up exposing her nakedness to non Muslim men in the name of childbirth. Where are our Muslim sisters? After going to medical school they sit at home! Am from Africa and where I come from most Muslim men don't live up to their responsibilities. They don't pay school fees, take care of their wives and in-laws. Where I come from if you as a woman stays at home, hunger and poverty will be your lot as husbands now admire financially empowered women. Islam did not say, women don't work!

Very confusing and unclear answer to be honest, disappointed. Where are the sources to the claims he made? The women with the dad who was old and couldn't work, worked in their own field out of necessity or they would go hungry. Can you draw such comparison in the west today???? Nearly every work place would be deemed unsuitable for a woman to work according to Islamic teachings. Such answer by NAK only enforced career driven women to go out and neglect marriage and children in favour of cooperate career progression. Too many imams are being liberalised it's soo sad to see.

I live in Pakistan, most of the men don't bother fullfilling the basic rights over here. but still every single molvi out here emphasize on women staying home. let me give an example of my aunt. her husband lived in south africa for about 11 years. and his income wasn't enough to fullfil their needs. both of them used to fight over money. my Aunt had to take off her kids from their old school and she got them admitted to a cheaper school. they left the city and moved back to village because they couldn't afford the bills of their rented house in city. her husband came back to Pakistan and was now totally unemployed. he stayed at home, didn't earn anything at all. my Aunt was now dependent on money and basic needs to her brothers. but my uncle used to beat her and kids because he thought it's against his honor that her wife's brother are fullfilling their needs. but still he didn't bother going out and doing something. things went even worse. my Aunt and uncle got separated, and after they got separated uncle died (2 or 3 months later). now the brothers of my Aunt who made her stay home when she was young, who never bothered sending her to school, college are not supporting her either. all I know is this could definitely have been better if my Aunt was educated and independent . this could have stopped the fights for money and her kids from crying for their little wishes. Idk when ese molvis will learn that their is a lot of difference between Paksitani men and those Arabis at times when Quran was revealed

The Pakistani Indian south east continent only give firka . The comment sections is filled with people who are against women work who are from India Pakistan South East region .then there is Nouman no the cultural differences of Western and Eastern country. From my knowledge Islam promote earning money to women in order to give charity whether you earn money from home or else

Dear Mr. Nouman
In my opinion, if the ladies are not married and have no kids or supporters they can do jobs with the conditions that's required from them. Masha'Allah, with all my respect to you and all your works I disagree with the example you gave about the Madian girls. They had to get out of the house because they had no supporter, ‏ (وَلَمَّا وَرَدَ مَاءَ مَدْيَنَ وَجَدَ عَلَيْهِ أُمَّةً مِنَ النَّاسِ يَسْقُونَ وَوَجَدَ مِنْ دُونِهِمُ امْرَأَتَيْنِ تَذُودَانِ ۖ قَالَ مَا خَطْبُكُمَا ۖ قَالَتَا لَا نَسْقِي حَتَّىٰ يُصْدِرَ الرِّعَاءُ ۖ وَأَبُونَا شَيْخٌ كَبِيرٌ)
[Surat Al-Qasas 23]

the reason they went out is they have to eat right?
I do not think that there is a greater or a heavier job than raising generations to be a great muslim.
