People out here acting like this wasnt a mod that just added zombies to an Arma server... ya'll should feel privileged that the game has gotten far as it has. Otherwise youd still be stuck playing nazi zombies or left for dead 2...People forget about mods like the fallout 4 online servers and skyrim online...somebody should make a review about those and how it never became anything. Seeing as day-z is now a standalone game and not even a mod that is PRETTY impressive for a mod. Welcome to 2019.

Me and 2 of my friends went around the map to look for cars. Found one over by stary. Hours and hours later we got the parts we needed. Get to the car server crashes, doesn't come back up, after 20 minutes we server hopped and another car (that needed more parts than we had) So after we find the battery and other tire we needed we went back to the car and server fucking crashed. Then DayZ took down the server cause it was only one up for the free weekend. I did just see a tweet that they are switching Xbox servers over to run for PC because PC servers were maxed.

Game needs missions and motorbikes for getting around. As a very new player, I have enjoyed making videos on 1.0

"Keep an eye on it" for what another 4 years? Guns disappearing, immense visual glitches, ect. That does't sound like having "all of the basic essentials taken care of"

So the game has a few zombies. But more online players and you can die easily from not eating enough. Seems like a mix between generation zero. And 7days to die.

This is the first review I've seen from someone who actually sounded like they'd played the game- so good on you.

As a guy who played about 1700 hours of "pre 1.0" up to about .61 this 1.0 release nonsense has been a real heavy footed kick in the nuts and I think you captured a lot of the reasons why. I want to preserve a small amount of optimism for the title and its potential however I think some harsh and unforgiving criticism for the game's current status is warranted.

Well I guess we'll just have to disagree because I think everyone should discredit the game. When the developers made the choice to go 1.0 with the game in this particular state? It literally blows my mind. This current state does not even warrant beta. If the devs are going to disrespect the community with such nonsense then the community should let them know. I certainly have been very vocal about and don't regret a single word. But hey you're entitled to your opinion I just could not disagree with it more.
