This time on DayZ I attepted one of my toughest challenges to date, to survive 100 hours on official, vanilla DayZ. It was not easy, but it made for an exciting adventure.

Excluding cinematics, and narration - every element of this video is 100% raw, and organic footage recorded on a live server.

A tip for playing dayz official is treat it like it’s real life. This isn’t loot goblin spaz around trying not to get hit by schizo enemies pvp all the time. It’s more like realistic apocalypse. PvP encounters are rare. You want to be camouflaged and steady. Scoping out areas. Moving through bushes, and keeping quiet.

A decade of playing this game and I still always find myself back on official servers, the high risk high reward just feels too good compared to some serves where you’re fully geared within 10 minutes

I am always at maximum hype when you post a video, but for some reason an Official storyline really makes this sweeter. It's like you said, that battle vs that duo just hit different being on official.

So, now I understand. Dying over and over to zombies, starvation, and beat to death by two guys, fists and frying pan... it's a vanilla thing. Was so proud last night, I made it 4 hours, finally found weapons, food, water, and not dead. Logged out, because figured, "okay, pressing my luck, best call it a night."
