This is supposed to be their normal style. Energetic and fast...However, the live version is made faster than the original one, but En Livstid I Krig and Uprising is still quite an outlier. But for the history part, the story is about the 7th Panzer Division commanded by Erwin Rommel in WW2. This was mainly focused on the invasion of France and how Rommel went incredibly aggressive and fast-paced which resulted in both French and German High Commands confused. Their position for a while was unknown, hence the French called them "Division Phantom", or Ghost Division. Matches the fast pace of the song I guess.

Sabaton always makes sure that the music fits the story. In this case it's about a german tank division advancing so fast that nobody knew where they were, so it's a fast paced song. "En livstid i krig" was a ballad because of the sadness of it all. "The attack of the dead men" had that ominous sounds to go with that gruesome story.
And if you continue with Sabaton you will find similar things quite often, "Night witches" for instance, which is an awesome story, and song, about female bomber pilots during WW2 have a thundering sound reminding of anti aircraft guns.
