Known as “the black day of the German army”, on August 8, 1918, 530 British tanks broke into the German lines in Amiens, France, achieving major breakthroughs for the first time in years, heralding the beginning of the end of the Great War. These fearsome machines were introduced to fight the First World War, and following their success, tank technology developed in leaps and bounds in time for the approaching Second World War.

i like how they put effort in, unlike some other bands. they use actual tanks in realistic settings, they use correct dialogue (the FV4005 that appears when joakim yells "Tank Destroyer 12 O'Clock!" is indeed a 183mm tank destroyer, and the other scenes (i.e. ISU-152 vs Ferdinand/Elefant) are realistic as well. this shows they actually care about their music. respect.

I can understand the lyrics, and their chosen subject matter demands attention. And the videos are well put together and executed perfectly!

The story of the video explained in my own opinion

At the start of the video, I believe the knight that yelled and stuff did something great like take out a dozen of his foes by himself, the gods saw potential in this one so they granted him strength and power

Back then, knights were seen as the “tanks” of the battlefield, they did the most damage because of their strength and the fact that they were armored, when that knight at the beginning put his sword in the ground i believe it was to preserve his own soul and battle spirit

Centuries later in WW1 an explosion hits the knights old armor (likely a temporary vessel for the spirit), and the knights spirit is reawoken, but in the form of combat spirit and courage,

The spirit quickly gets adjusted to tanks and lends the pilots its strength and courage provided they can use it correctly, the spirit searches for a worthy vessel for its power, it can’t leave its leftover power to just anyone, it needs a worthy tank crew

The spirit however does not have much time in the world, after all at the end of the day it is a spirit and must pass on sooner or later

Before you say im full of crap I took 3 facts into accident

Fact-1: at 3:22 the spirit was about to go into that tank but it blew up,

Fact-2: The spirit leaves each tank right before they get blown up

Fact-3: At the end of the video, the spirit finds its TRUE and worthy successor, and reforms the tank to mirror how the knight looked long ago
