Whitening toothpastes are HIGHLY abrasive! Definitely avoid them and definitely dont brush 20x a day with them! 😅 Also whitening mouthwash outside of the opaque bottle denatures in light and becomes useless soooo that doesnt work either lol. Just brush 2x a day and use whitening strips if you want them white! its the only enamel safe way to whiten!

As a person who has lost ALL her teeth due to illness and meds, please dont mess around with your teeth.
It has cost me so much money for upper and lower implants.
Dont listen to random people telling you how to get whiter teeth

My mom actually had to get her teeth completely replaced after years of overbrushing and using tons of whitening chemicals. She started in her late teens and by her mid 30's she started having major sensitivity issues and lost a bunch of weight because of it, and by her early 40's she had to have full replacement done. The whitening products can be a good thing, but ironically they should never be used to the point where your teeth are as white as the pictures they show you.

This woman is a prime example of why instructions and warnings are written on the back of products like shampoo..

If you buy any sort of product that is deliberately put in separate packaging so that you mix the two products just before use, I promise you that step isn't "just for fun". It's likely a chemical reaction that must be done JUST before using in order to work. Not to mention, if your product comes in an opaque container, I promise it's in that container for a reason (because light breaks the product down).

Having a toothpaste dispenser could actually help a lot people with productivity issues, depression etc...
Every time I want to brush my teeth I end up like "nah, now I'm tired, I don't feel like doing it now, I will later" and in the I end I don't wash them everyday. Some days I wash them after every meal, and sometimes I just don't for 2 days or more. And I really wouldn't want things to be like this, but it's difficult to get over it.
But maybe having a little hack that will save you even just that little movement of picking up the tube, open it and squeeze it on the toothbrush, sometimes can do much to help motivate someone.

so basically what she did was wear down the enamel on her teeth (or the area that was yellow or whatever) until it became white
her teeth are probably sensitive af now

edit: sorry, everyone kept pointing out its dentin but i'm a dumbass so i didn't know that lmao

You might as well put straight peroxide on your teeth. The little bubbles travel through the tiny pores, eventually reaching the nerves, Feels Great 👍🏼

Putting both steps together is about as effective as two in one shampoo/conditioner.

I'm a to-be-dentist in my final year and trust me the harm this girl is doing to her teeth is unimaginable. This will cause a lot of wearing down of sound tooth structure and lead to early sensitivity. Now they look white just because there's still enamel left but later on it will start appearing yellow and no toothpaste will help.

My mum's friend basically rotted her enamel away because she would brush her teeth after eating or drinking ANYTHING!!! It is a cautionary tale that I still remember now!!

What actually made a difference is that she found a routine that made it easy/enjoyable for her to actually brush her teeth regularly (maybe too often even).
