How to play an G guitar chord for beginners! This video is a part of a "YouTube Shorts" series I am creating to help beginner guitarists learn all of the basic guitar chords they need to play the songs that I teach! In this series, I plan to make a short 15-30 second video explanation for how to play all of the basic major and minor guitar chords. The goal being to help anyone who is stuck on a specific guitar chord be able to learn that chord as quickly as possible, and get back to learning their favorite songs! Let me know if you have any questions in the comments below :)

Thanks for checking out my video! If you have any suggestions for a song in this style you would like to learn let me know and if you have any questions hit that comment section below! Thanks for watching! :)

Another way to play the G chord is instead of putting ur other finger in the second fret of the second top string, you can just press the fingers on the top and bottom strings but use the top string finger to mute the second top string. It’s an unpopular way to play the G chord but in my opinion it sounds better. So Top string third fret, mute the 5th string, 4th, 3rd and 2nd string open and lowest string third fret. That’s the easier and sounding better G chord in my opinion.

His feels natural to me, for some reason my tutor says i should do the high e string with pinky as its gonna help down the line, but i have a really long ring finger and short pinky so it feels horrible doing it that way ans the ring finger gets in the way
