Never had a problem with playing the traditional G, but I think you are right about your way sounding better. Way more crisp.

Wow, thanks Justin. The G chord was my Achilles heel.

This is the single thing that has kept me from playing most of the simple strumming songs I know. I always get impatient and run of to learn harder things, yet at the end, I return to this course just to learn, what I've been doing wrong the whole week prior.

Thank you Sir..You saved us from the torment that we have to face to learn the traditional G major chord.

Thank you, Justin! Awesome tip. I came across a 2-3-4 fingering version for advanced guitarists, I think. Keep nourishing the world with your music and teaching other people, mate. Cheers!

I had not had a real problem with the traditional G chord but saw you do this on an earlier video and now, like you, it’s the method I use the vast majority of the time.

I just realised that I wasn't using my index finger to play the "traditional" G. I'm playing the C shape, offset one string, using my pinky for the F#. Makes the transition from C very easy.

Been playing for many years but not actually seen that one. The first version I learned only used the 3rd finger at the 3rd fret on the top E string but I had to be careful not to strum the 5th and 6th strings. I like the way it sounds, it does seem to sound crisper. Very interesting alternative version.

Oh man I wish you would have put that in your classic lesson. Maybe I should switch over to your most newer lesson versions. Thanks for the tip!

This makes so much sense, thank you. Helped me a lot. Especially the "muting" part is very easy for me as a beginner. :)

I've always used my 4th finger on the thin string and played the traditional G

Awesome! I'm a beginner and can get all the major and minor chords except G. This fretting I can play reasonably well. I saw a similar fretting on your early video on how to play Highway to Hell. Many thanks.

Thank goodness for this G hack because the 3 finger version HURTS! It feels like when I had carpel tunnel pain at its worst. There's just something about it that's so painful 😅 My husband will appreciate this too. I don't think he knows about it and he hates the 3 finger version too 😂 Thanks for all these helpful tips! 🙌🙌
