With crappy schools, mass shootings, boring landscape, putrid weather, and Abbott re-elected, there is no way I will be staying here. The second I am able to leave I will be gone.

I’m not shocked by the list. People are looking for natural beauty in the landscape and trees over Texas. I’m actually from NC and I would say the only reason to move there are the mountains/foothills and the trees. That’s pretty much it!

I’m curious know where Texans are moving. Can someone share the trends they have been seeing of their Texas neighbors, friends, and family leaving?

Out here in Georgia, I've seen quite a few Texans on the road.

very interesting, I still see TX plates here in WA, but not like pre pandemic. I think they're insane to come here or Oregon UNLESS they go out rural into country away from urban madness, but that's a special group like wealthy or retirees. I totally get TN, we've even heard about here. North Carolina...I don't know about, except they have AWESOME atlantic beaches, went to one once and know VA Beach from back in the day (I'd be scared to see now). Colorado still has good rural but even that is expensive and their cities are liberal nuts like anywhere: denver since the 80s when called san fran of midwest. Idaho real estate totally wiped out by now like western WA and Spokane, WA

Tennessee has met its quota!. With all the influx of people, my home state is becoming increasingly expensive. Housing prices have doubled! Property taxes have increased, traffic is congested and our slow paced lifestyle is fading fast. Stay away

I think it's because of hunting can't go hunting here without leasing some land to go hunting on they screwed up the hunting

Interesting and informative. CA not on the list, UT/OK/NY not on the list (well the list was only 5 states long) - worth noticing. I am thinking about moving to TX, but I am scared of the heat and of termites.
