I feel if you're into 32 bit and below games, theres not a better device on the market for playing them. The screen is great and a better resolution for scaling them then the new 16:9 systems and the d-pad placement is far better for 2D games than the Retroid Pocket and Odin. As someone who mostly plays 16 bit and PS1 games, I play this more than my Odin. Don't get it if you're expecting the next jump to good 3D game performance, though.

Excellent review! I've always wanted a mini pc like this. I know it's more of a dedicated Android game emulator, so I also jumped on the Steam Deck bandwagon. Since I'll probably get mine well after you, I'll be waiting patiently for your review. 👍👍

that aspect ratio is the by far the best one for retro games (32bit and below). That screen is the console and the price.

mine is stereo, run a left/right test on Youtube and is working great, you might have a faulty one.

The steam deck sucks and the Odin is basically a smart phone

its an awesome device if it was in the $150-175 range...no one wanna pay $230 for it

Thankfully I passed this one and went for the Odin Pro. Sure it will take a while to arrive but it will be so much better.

…bought BANGGOOD 230 USD and dead/stucked pixels on arrival…BAD QC!!!…rejected 20 USD compensation…dispute ended without resolution…stay away from BAD BANGGOOD!!!…the console is not good…feels already passé…90 min playtime and weird wired one and only charger…linux is a no no and old unupdatable android os (2017)…dont buy for now…and if…stay away from BANGGOOD!!!…
