I like the older channel theme music better. Don't give up on it!

23:51: "And so we can get a bit of nostalgia here while listening to this old song..." I have to say It's been really nice to watch your channel grow. Thanks for keeping the channel informative and up-to-date as the retro market has exploded. Your video's still feel like they did when you started.

Thanks, Russ

I still haven't bothered to upgrade android yet, but I was low key waiting for a vid from you to look at it first lol, so thanks for that. I've been using Jelos for a couple months and I like it a lot. I like 351elec and use it on other devices, but I would have instances of it pre-selecting certain settings in the front end that get in my way, and that aspect is less of an issue with Jelos.

I got my RG552 secondhand and pretty much never used from a regretful buyer and have been loving my time with it. Just as you said, this has easily been the best way I've ever played retro games on a handheld. I watched your preliminary review in anticipation of getting the system, and was somewhat worried on if there'd be any growth on the Android side. Then I found out about BlackSeraph's work and while I was weighing if it was worth becoming a patron yet, Anbernic releases an Android 11 upgrade for free today. Great time to be a 552 owner with all this stuff in development.

For even better Yaba Sanshiro performance, turn audio CPU cycle synchronization off, it eliminates distorted audio and increases FPS for me.

Can you do that performance chart for previous handhelds like the Retroid Pocket 2+? It’s a really nice tool to compare the crazy amount of handhelds on the market

Okay now it’s worth buying one of these.

Still 227 dollars...

Oh boy. I've never seen it go so low in price where I can buy it. It's up to 400 on Amazon uk. At that price point I would wait for a Steam Deck. Honest, it feels like this device would fit a price point of 150-180 Dollars.

I like both older intro tunes. This one is 😬

The timing of this video is great though! Thanks!

Good video and thoughtful insights. One thing that has gotten me over the concept of money and value and what are we really talking about here. I’m an old guy, and I grew up with the NES and SNES and I bought a ton of game. I likely have spent north of 10k over the years on hardware and games. So, it does bother me a bit when we act like $60-$80 is significant when you consider the amount of content you are able to consume. Sure, we compare it to it’s competitors, and no doubt about it, it’s way more expensive. But in reality, it’s nothing when looking at the value of what it stores.

Also, the screen, the excellent PSP and N64 as well as dual boot, makes this way worth it.

Hey Russ, i want to thank you for your videos about emulation, and the detailed tutorial videos.
You have to test out emulation on the galaxy z fold 3. I know its expensive, and its android,
But, the fact that you have almost 4:3 dimensioned screen when you unfold it absolutely amazing for emulation.
PLus the Gamesir X2 works flawless with it (you can even fold it like an 3DS when its connected to the controller)
The Pixel Density is nice, and the overall screen quality is superb. It has an snapdragon 888 which is powerfull enough
for many Emulators. I would love to see a video about this device from you. I think you would like it very much.

thanks for you work, and keep it up. greetings from germany-

You have been an outstanding teacher. I tried to join black-seraphim and than I was going to be a Patron of yours, but my card will not go through. I will try again tomorrow. When I say a good teacher. I have dyslexia and you have made this so easy for me, I am really hoping I can get this to work.

I've kept my eye on this device for a bit. I would consider getting it if it went on sale for like $150-$180.
