Why I chose communications as my major👩🏼‍🏫 #shorts #communications

I never knew what I wanted to do for a living, so I chose to be a communications major because I figured that it wouldn't pigeon hole me into one specific career. Toward the end of college, I still didn't know what I wanted to be when I grew up, so I continued on to get my masters degree in communications.

Even after graduate school I still didn't know what I wanted to do, but I knew the companies that I liked. So I started off my career at Urban Outfitters as a Store Operations Administrative Assistant. I quickly moved over to marketing and began my marketing career. Worked up the corporate ladder, stayed at Urban Outfitters for years, and then for ASOS as Marketing Director in the US.

Worked for several other companies after that and then ultimately quit to become a yoga instructor just in time for the pandemic and my pregnancy.
