I got an insane deal where I live.

Found a i5 3450 powerspec PC with 8gb of ram and a 2tb hard drive for 40 bucks. I had to replace the cooler since the system had like a pound of dust in it and it had destroyed the bearings on the old cooler. Luckily I had the same OEM cooler sitting around that I paid 3 bucks for.

I'm sure the system was stolen or something, or he thought he was selling me a lemon, but I'm not complaining.

My family pc Acer M1935 bought on 2012 or 2013 if im not mistaken:
I3-2120, Win7, 2gb ram, 500gb hdd, intel hd graphics.

During the lockdown i tried to upgrade it now this is the specs:
Same proc, win10, 10gb ram, 120gb ssd + 500gb hdd and amd r9 270x 2gb.

Now im saving for a new psu and hopefully a new processor by the end of the year. Wish me luck!

pro tip just leave the SSD hanging in the tray, it's not a moving part, it'll be fine.

I worked on many of these and love how easy they are to upgrade. Little bit of ram, an SSD with Windows 10, Quadro P400 and there you go, better than new.

Thank you for taking the time to explain how to put in new parts! Most videos and guides I see like this don't really explain how to replace these and it makes the task seem even more daunting.

I’ve seen a few videos and this is by far one of the best

I deal a lot with old PCs from clients throwing things away when they get new stuff. I've made out pretty good in building numerous machines.

I currently have the same desktop featured in this video. I have done several upgrades and now this thing is a beast.
My specs are i7 2600 non k, 16 gigs ram, 220 gig ssd, 1 tb HDD, GTX 1070 gpu, thermaltake 600 watt psu. I added WiFi and Bluetooth as well. Oh and some RGB lol.

It crushes every game at 1080p

I love these videos because they're logically the best option for a techie to get into serious gaming

Protip: Don’t exceed the manufacturer recommended maximum for RAM and make sure to use the right socket type for your CPU
