I did everything and it didn't work :( I then used heavier tape (Duct tape) on the ethernet port... Works like a charm. Please people use the right type of tape if you want this to work.

Bro I love you, you're an actual I was about to waste 30$ on a new access point and saw your video, I turned an old modem I had and was about to throw away into an access point and I don't think I've ever felt more accomplished xD

I have a BrightBox router and also had to change mode from PPPoE to Routing. I tried it like 5 times with just changing the settings you mentioned, and it didn’t work. It didn’t even boot. I always had to do a hard reset. Now I switched this mode to routing and works great! Thanks so much :-)

The tape on the network port is the most important part of this tutorial, I've made a AP with an old router just like this on my job and didn't used the tape, it took less than a week for someone mess with the router and plug the cable in the wrong port after

This video was very helpful in converting my old EE router in to a WiFi Hot spot. It was an easy set up with your help. Very good, now my wife is happy with me as I can now get the Rainbird water irrigation system going. Thanks again for your advise on you video.

This is THE easiest, shortest and clearest tutorial on YouTube on how to do this.

What's more beautiful is that you can access the configuration page of any of the two routers on any wireless connection they stream

Thank you for the tutorial! this really helped considering my old router didn't have an access point option so i opted with changing my ip and disabling my DCHP. And now it works!!
