I'd like to recommend that in the process of making this top with leggings/tights, if you mess up instead of throwing the pair out try making snag-free hair ties by just cutting portions of the legs about one to two inches wide. I make so many hair Ties like this.

Am I the only one who has noticed all the runs and holes in the nylon fabric?  They are on the back of one arm and across the back of the top. You can see them as she spins around in the end. This is what nylons do when they are cut or snagged.. by the end of the evening this top will be nothing but tattered nylon shreds.

To all of you who are concerned with "running" just use tights or leggings. The material is thicker. You don't HAVE to use stockings.

I love this idea! You could completely remove the sheer leg part, you could wear them under clothes like low-back dresses in place of bras... I probably wouldn't wear them as shirts, but layered under something would be awesome! I have a pair of dark blue cropped leggings that are a tad too small, so now I know what to do with them! Thanks so much!

A dancer friend put me on to this trick about 25yrs ago and I still use it today! It's also great to change the look of sleeveless dresses - you get a pair to match the dress and wear it under it. Also great for dressing up the decolletage if you get sheer to waist or patterned to the waist pantyhose. It's also good for giving a firmer look if you have less than toned arms. Lace or patterns are better for this though. It's nice to see this trick still being shared - thanks for posting!
