I used to live in Oakdale and work in Livermore. It was hard but the shift I worked was better than the guy in the story. The worst part for me was leaving at 3:30 am and being at the stoplight in Escalon and realizing I fell asleep while stopped there. Thank the gods that I woke up and didn’t have to deal with the law

This isn’t a good thing for those who’ve lived here for decades or say born n raised... With that commute comes higher cost of living prices and sometimes crime. I wish locations like San Francisco and Los Angeles would fix their housing cost issues before it becomes a bigger problem for all California. It would benefit everyone to be able to work closer to their homes. Yet I honestly see it only getting worse smh

I live in Antioch and drive to Los Altos. This gentleman has an easy commute next time pick somebody that works from 7a to 4p, at this time you're averaging between 15mph an hour and 40mph on the highway and it takes about an hour and a half to get to work and two and a half hours to get home

Haha 3 yrs only. I am a mother of 3 and I have been commuting from modesto to sunnyvale, san jose and fremont. I work 6 days sometimes. I worked different shifts too. 12 hr shift, dayshift, swing and graveyard. 3 yrs is nothing. Try 25 years. Lol
