The title is misleading: there was no information on making one's commute suck less. Title suggestion: Some of us at Wirecutter have sucky commutes, too.

I had the luxury of moving to a different city where my employer has offices. I dropped my commute from 1 1/2 hours each way on bus and subway to 40 minutes walking, or 20 minutes by bike or bus. 80 minutes of walking a day ... I can save money on a gym membership, too!

Guy at 1:33 should be fired for wearing his shades like that. Absolute disgrace.

Driving myself or public transport both are garbage options in my city.

I’m concerned that Wirecutter’s NYC locus could be making its recommendations out of touch with the priorities suburban and rural Americans.

Alternatively: tax the wealthy and use the proceeds to invest in public infrastructure.

Very negative attitude! I actually enjoy my commute. I read/listen to music/meditate/do my makeup/make lists/watch videos or just gaze out of the window. Commuting needn’t suck. You can use it to decompress.
