I really don´t understand why is it so fcking hard for them to make fresh vanilla to wrath cycle servers ... really i don´t give a sh1t about classic+ or seasonal servers like SOD and playing on GDKP bot infested era is also trash

The main reason for making Classic in the first place was because there was no legal way to play the older versions of the game. The dumbest decision from Blizzard was when they made Classic realms progressive by completely locking away the last expansion. They killed Era back then when they locked the characters behind a paywall. With TBC and Wrath they were like "who cares, just shut them off". They tought that Cata progression will attract more people than these 2 (probably most succesful) expansions. Instead of building a legacy project where you can play your favourite expansion whenever you want, they are still throwing everything on the wall (HC, SoM, SoD) to see which sticks and then abandoning it when the first bump on the road happens.

I think Cata is enjoyable if you have a skilled guild. The skill gap from Wrath to Cata destroyed a lot of groups, unfortunately.

They really dropped the ball with SoD. No new raid or PvP event at max level for 2 phases really killed the game.

i don't get how blizzard managed to mess up classic wow while Jagex still maintains a strong OSRS community.. asmon was wrong, it can't be just nostalgia there had to another factor to the equation

I quit SoD after phase 1, Cata after prepatch and just f'd off back to ERA... great decision tbh.

Sad but true, SOD was just neglected alot and wasn't given a proper team to develop the game and they ignored pvp content. CATA basically died after 2 months of release.

Right now only ERA feels like an MMORPG, but it so outdated and abandoned it hurts...

Cata was a huge mistake back then, and a huge mistake again now... Can't believe anyone thought it was a good idea to go for Cata "classic". Especially now that we know SoD could have been much better if the same team didn't have to waste their time rereleasing an expac no one really liked back then, and the player numbers speak for themselves.... At least TWW turned out fine.

To be honest Cata is fun as hell, yet I dont play it because of WoW token and GDKP, nothing wrong with the expansion itself.
