I Have a completely different take. the Spanish team is a collection of excellent players in all positions but what makes them great is the collective mindset. They are playing as one unit basing their play and tactics on individual players' respective strengths. They incarnate what football is above all: a true team sport. That's what makes them formidable. There has been way too much emphasis on individuals over the last 10-15 years. I could not care less about the Ballon d'Or winner.
