Props to you for doing this video!
I've found it's pretty good if you slice it pretty thin, marinate (in whatever) and broil in the oven. Gives it a crunchier texture but it's not fried.

I am Vegan. This inspired me so much to make grilled tofu a couple weeks back. I ended up seasoning with my fav chicken seasoning. Then cutting my tofu into cubes and putting them onto wooden skewer sticks (kinda how people put shrimp on a stick & then onto the grill) and using my little indoor grill. I absolutely loved it! My nieces 3 & 6, even enjoyed this. A great little snack for them. Ty for sharing!

What people don't realize about tofu is that it's a sponge, meaning you can't just take it out of the package and cook it and expect it to taste like anything other than water.  Once you drain extra firm tofu you can treat it just like meat.  Marinate it or rub it and cook it an it's amazing.

Good idea to flavor it with mustard! I saw a lot of recipes with soy sauce but yours sounds easy an delicious!

Thanks, Tom. I've tried tons of veggie burger recipes and, as far as grilling, they don't work or are too complicated to make. Your recipe is super simple and looks delicious. I wish I had tofu right now so I could grill it. :o)

that looks wonderful tom! Tofu isnt for everyone cause its so bland, but you obviously need to season it up and its good to go. great job.

Nice:) i use extra firm organic tofu as a base in everything i make (i make everything scratch) your video reminded me that i use tofu in spicy chip dip (using non dairy rice cheese and ghost peppers/ tofu etc.) and in stuffed jalapeños. once i made a noodle sauce with organic tomato paste and tofu and other herbs and ricecheese plus herbs.. over noodles it reminded me of ravioli in a can. i use tofu because i dont touch meat.

I have no idea if I like tofu or if I've even had it ? Lol! But sir you made it look edible. It dose look like chicken and was waiting for you to say it tastes like chicken.

Looks absolutely delish! Be sure to get organic or you're eating GMOs :( I bet this would be great with tempeh (fermented soy products are A-OK). Is KirBBQ similar to Paul Kirk's dry rub? Thanks for another wonderful idea :) I bet you could marinate the tofu in, say, a mix of mustard and soy or coconut aminos before rubbing on the spices. I wonder if puncturing it would give a different texture? Your vids always inspire me! THANK YOU!
