How Will Turkey Achieve Its Space Ambitions?

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has unveiled an ambitious 10-year space programme, which includes sending a spacecraft to the moon by 2023 and launching Turkish astronauts into space. It comes as the United States, China and the new kid on the block - the UAE, successfully sent probes to the red planet. Will Turkey be able to join this elite club of space explorers and how will it achieve it?

The equator runs close to Somalia's 4th biggest city Kismayo. This city also has Somalia's 4th biggest deep water port after Mogadishu, Bosaso, and Berbera (yes still considered part of Somalia). Somalia's advantage is that rocket launches towards the East coast and onwards are more efficient and Somalia has no land borders to the east. This means Turkey doesn't need to worry about other nations getting angry over rockets flying over them. We also have Turkey's largest embassy in the world and their first and largest military training academy. I hope that Turkey does build their spaceport in Somalia.

The UAE didn’t launch anything. They made the satellite. Big difference in capabilities.

Turkey could do more than build the rockets to get to Mars or another planet Turkey could build the first AI crew of builders, scientists, doctors etc for the ships.
AI/Robot builders will be needed maybe even the self replicating or that can make repairs and adjustments to the others when needed. AI/ robots could be used to build the necessary structures for human beings and maybe some small animals to live in as well as greenhouses and labs or maybe used to operate smaller laboratory type ships that can explore and study the planet(s) in greater detail.
