Real Reason Turkey is Threatening Greece with War #war

The NATO treaty is very specific about this kind of situation, since the addition of former Warsaw Pact nations were considered.
NATO will support the nation whose’s *internationally recognized borders/territory was attacked*

If Erdogan attacks, he would suddenly find his military with Zero:
-air defence networking capabilities
- ability to communicate with their secure NATO terminals
- ability for their Link-16 secure network to transmit data among aircraft, ships, and C&C.

Greece would keep all those capabilities, while also having NATO/US AWACS & Electronic Warfare aircraft covering their territory 24hrs/day; and jamming any Turkish comms *inside* Greek borders.

The same thing would happen in reverse if Greece was the aggressor.

As a Turkish resident who hasn't even grown up yet, I remember waking up on the morning of 24/02/2022, a similar situation that could happen soon between Türkiye and Greece. That morning, I checked the time and it was just about 8AM. When I stumbled upon the news, they were filled with the hostility between Russia and Ukraine escalating into a brutal military conflict, which just happened that morning. I was about to 💩 my pants, literally. I hope 🇹🇷🇬🇷 does not escalate into another military conflict. Best wishes of peace for nearly 100 million people from both countries. 🇹🇷❤️🕊️🇬🇷

to simply the response, NATO is a defensive alliance. if one member attacks another, the aggressor would be expelled from NATO and the alliance would side with the defender. thats the simple way to explain it. they wont have a big crisis on who to support as the alliance is purely defensive. so the aggressor would be seen as the enemy who attacked a NATO member

The reason Greece militarised some Greek islands is because for decades these islands have been seeing Turkish aircrafts fly over their heads all the time, I have friends in an island called Chios and he tells me this, I mean you see the war in Ukraine and one of the many reasons it is happening is because US is getting close to their borders and they can't even tolerate the possibility of that happening, Turkey isn't only getting close to our borders they are surpassing it to try and see how far they can go until it's too much for us and have a reason to start a war

The EU also has a similar agreement as the famous article 5 of NATO. So turkey would find it self in a situation in which all EU members are forced to help Greece "with all their might", that's how it is stated in the Eu treaty.

Well, Greece were one of the first countries to come to help Türkiye after the earthquake hit. And they even saved turkish lifes in that situation.

As a greek I want to say that we do military exercises in agean and militarized islands only because turkey is causing troubles daily, they invade air and naval borders and also took half Cyprus in 1974, so we don't want anything like that happen again. OF COURSE greece doesn't want anything that has to do with war(cause of economy, its ppl ect) but if this continues we won't let our homeland down. Btw much love for turks, I love these ppl, i just hate how their president treats us, we as ppl have many things in common and should fight for anything🇬🇷❤️🇹🇷

It's not a tricky situation at all. If Turkey attacks Greece's territory, NATO will put Erdogan out of his misery. This is spelled out in the NATO treaty.
