Love the advise, "support other DJs". ❤. Good support and assistance with DJs supporting other DJs will help get support gigs if a DJ over books.

1. and a binder full of CDs
2. once seen a guy who totally flipped the floor, started playing house at a D&B evening
3. See 2, the DJ who cleared the floor gatecrashed the venue and did not even bring headphones

4. always carry a roll of gaffer tape, you never know when you need it. IE gaffer tape a gatecrashing DJ.

I’ve that “anymore” it’s like skull & bones back when I started. Like the chicfala recipe 🤦🏻‍♂️. Back in the late 90’s

Gate keeping was terrible in the late 90’s. Saw many otherwise great DJ’s get pushed out of the community because of mere personality conflicts, and established guys being absolutely terrible humans beings. 😂

“We’re” not in a gatekeeping culture anymore??? Who’s we??? A friend of yours with actual records?? Some of us have been doing this since the 80’s. You weren’t even doing this last century and you’re trying to talk to people about USB sticks. Lol😂.

I get it. The youth is the future, but when people like Van Gough changed the game they’re weren’t like “I don’t even use brushes mate”.

Turntablism isn’t from the UK. DJ culture isn’t for the UK, but hey, colonizers gonna colonize.

Innit!??
