Love this advice. Going to barber school and I’ve always stayed true to taking your time and focusing on quality. A lot of ppl there always talk about fastest fade and being quick but anything I’ve ever done in life in other industries I’ve done with quality and I’ve always been rewarded for it. I’d rather master quality over quantity. No sense in breaking your back doing 15 crappy cuts and losing clientele than to put quality behind your name and building forever clientele. The speed will come with time and so will the benefits in doing so.

im barely starting, im 29 and i get discourage cuz of my age and im trying to learn this quick, i wanna do barbering cuz im sick of working in a chemical plant, i wanna do something new and i been interested in barbering since i was 17 but my dad looked down on me when i told him thats what i wanted to be so that made me lose my motivation but now i feel it inside me that this is what i wanna do

i've been cutting hair for almost a year now! and i never asked money for the first 6-7 months. i was so happy that people would stop by and trust the process. eventually if they love the cut they'll give you something in return. The best thing you can receive from your client, is that he comes back 2-3 weeks later and build a solid contact with him. the rest will come from itself!

I’m barely starting out, I’m 22 and active duty military. I’ve always thought about cutting hair but now I’m finally starting to buy my own tools. Super nervous but I know it will be worth it in the end .

actually left a shop because they weren't about creating dope cuts and making clients come back they cared about doing quick in and outs i mean thats there style but just couldn't work somewhere where the passion to the craft is not there.

Honestly I’ve been cutting hair for 3 months now, and I get discouraged when I watch YouTube videos and the fade comes out so blurry, thanks for you advice! Keep up the good work🔝💈

Thanks for this. I have just started working at a shop not even a month ago and it really is doscouraging at how little clients come in and how my lack of skills prevent me from doing styles i would like to be doing. Also the whole being active on social media to find new clients thing is so unusual to me. It also feels like a lot of pictures you see on IG are done professionally, in the led lights and also edited, so it is hard to build realistic expectations, because when I take a picture it looks like total crap and i won't even put it up.
I guess i just got to keep doing what i'm doing and maybe one day it will finally get somewhat easier.

I’m a welder that just started getting into the barber game because I couldn’t find any good barbers that were open when I wanted to get in the barber shop. so I decided to learn how to cut my own hair and ended up want to cut others people hair as I fell more in love with the art.

I absolutely love the way you cut your hair and share the techniques through each of your videos. I respect you very much, thank you for sharing it with the community

This is one of the realest videos out there. I especially agree on the disinfecting part 💯💯💯

Since you mentioned it, it would be pretty dope if you created a video focusing on your disinfecting process. Most of those videos might be boring, but I know it would be a banger if you made it 🔥🔥

I agree with everything apart from the last one. I feel like you need to learn with the best tools to be the best but if money is a problem for you then obviously don’t get the expensive tools

This literally made my day. It makes me feel okay now to get discouraged at times just because our shop gets super busy and sometimes I don't have the time to practice or my hardest part has been telling people I will give them a free haircut and they think that I do a terrible job just because I am starting . 😭 but I know I will get there I have only been there since March and I got my cosmo license in May its only July but omg this helped me so much thank you for this 💟💯
