reason is:
when the seek chase begins, it automatically clicks W for you (or if you're on mobile whatever it is to move forward)
and the W key is known for kicking you out of the closet since it thinks you want to get out of it so you get out of it b ecuase you click W automatically by the game you just move

The game used to make you automatically run pre-update, and running pushes you out of a closet. I’d love to see this tested now since the auto run has been removed.

It doesn’t force you out, it’s just that when you are getting chased by seek you are always forced to run forward, if you try to walk backwards you only slow down, so lucky for the devs they don’t need to fix anything because it kinda fixed itself

Considering that it's been confirmed by the devs that Seek and Hide are partners in crime, this makes sense.

All monsters and how to avoid them:

Screech: He usually appears in dark rooms. If you hear 'psssst' sound then find him and look at him to avoid him. If you don't look at him he will jumpscare you and take a few percent of your health.

Rush: If the lights blink 1 time that means rush is coming to rush at you! If this happens quickly hide in a closet.

Eyes: If he appears front of you then don't look at him or he will take all of your health which instantly kills you.

Halt: He just stays in one room where it is just a long hallway. In the hallway halt will chase you. However he can also appear in front of you. If your screen flickers saying 'turn around' then walk the opposite direction because if the sign comes it means halt appeared front of you.

Seek: Seek will appear in one room. If he appears then he will start chasing you. However the obstacles will try to block you

Hide: If you hide in the closet for too long then he will push you out which also takes few percent of your health.

The figure: He will appear in 2 rooms: Room no. 50 and Room no. 100. He can't see you and but he can hear you.

Ambush: He is just like rush but he will rush 3-4 times.

Glitch: If you're playing in multiplayer and you're away from your friends he will jumpscare you and take you where your friends are. However he also takes your health

Timothy: He is a spider which hides in the drawers. If you open a drawer where timothy is hiding he will jumpscare you and take 5 percent of your heath.

The only reason it pushed you out was excuse you have to move to get out of the closet, and with the seek chase having auto walking. It's most likely impossible to hide during seek chase.

It makes sense Hide would work with Seek.

I tested this with someone but they hid before the seek chase started.
Apparently they were walking at normal speed instead of the speed you would have when the seek chase occurs.

he can clearly see you coming in, so it's a good idea for the game to force you out of the closet.
