The guiding light actually does interact with the physical world, in door 50 the library it pushes over a lamp to distract the figure so the player doesn’t get killed.

Tips for new players:
1. You don't have to turn around going against Halt. Just walk backward
2. KEEP UR CANDLE, this helps during the greenhouse levels, there are no lights warning you of rush and he's quieter during these levels. The candle going out means he's coming
3. Seeks red light makes it seem like he's really close to you, but he usually isn't
4. If you know the figure is with a friend in a closet walk freely to speed up the process
5. Having another person with you can be really helpful
6. Figure is quick. You can't outrun them
7. If you're with others, callouts r EVERYTHING

10:13 Hide also prevents you from hiding after you get pushed out of a hiding spot by Hide for 10 seconds with the message “Something is stopping you from hiding…”.

Additional Notes regarding the A-Entities

- All A-Entities are immune to the Crucifix and will still kill or damage you as if you weren’t holding the crucifix out.

- A-120 has a chance of rebounding, so to make sure that it is safe to come out, try to listen for A-120’s thumping.

Something that I think would be worth mentioning is that the eyes that prelude Seek's appearance cause the lights to flicker, which can be a false alarm for Rush. However, Rush cannot spawn during this.

Just a small tip with Hide (and the door's time-lapse)
The further in the hotel/run you are in, the quicker Hide will push you out. If you don't notice, the "get out" signs flash quicker and more faster than when you get them around door 14 per say. This can also mean the game showing how much more difficult it'll get, hence why the entities are most faster. Rush also comes more quicker compared to the start of the game, where it'd take atleast a good 20 seconds for his event go through, but when near door 80, its more of a 8 second event.

Another good example of this is during door 50, where the more books you collect, the faster and angrier figure gets, making it harder to beat. You can actually run away from figure before collecting 3 books, where he speeds up past a player's maximum stamina, even with vitamins.
It seems that the further the player goes in the hotel, the angrier and faster the entities become, making the difficulty and threats higher.

Rush can actually be quite helpful during certain sequences, during rooms that require memory, like Dupe, if Rush goes through he also triggers all fake doors leaving the actual door open and saving us from potential penalties if we should pick the incorrect door.

Guiding light also helps in the room when you first encounter the figure as it pushes over a lamp to attract the figure and you can see this by particals near the general direction of a fallen lamp

Extra-info: Before the update existed, Glitch’s job was to originally teleport the player back to their friends when too far behind.
So Glitch was basically replaced by Void

Also, Ambush sounds more like a race car instead of a distorted scream in my opinion

Of note for Ambush: Unlike Rush, he uses a ray tracing form of targeting you for the kill. Rush has to make physical contact with you. Ambush just needs to see you unhidden.

Tip for people doing the no audio challenge: to know if ambush is coming, look closely for slight colour shifts on the walls.

dupe also emits a subtle rumbling/grumbling sound, so if you forget which room you're in and you don't want to risk meeting dupe, carefully approach a door and listen

also that's not water, but most likely gasoline/oil because it keeps burning after a spark sets it on fire

and another secondary entity is called shadow
it's very rare and appears with a loud harsh buzz
it doesn't do anything

A fun fact about glitch; They can also spawn if you leave one player behind (about 6 or so rooms). This *does* cause damage to the player left behind, I think, before teleporting them to the rest of the group. Glitch also has a death message from guiding light (this may be from an earlier build though) saying something along the lines of "I can't figure out what you died to... try not to get separated."

Corrections, of course, are welcome.

Actually, you can survive Dupe if you forget the door number.
*-When you approach the door that’s about to be “Duped”, you can hear slight growling (you have to have headphones for this though)*

*-You can approach the wall on the side of the door and if the door doesn’t open, then that’s the wrong one*

I've been inching to play Doors for a while and the fact that there are more entities makes this game more terrifying. The lore is vague but I think that the more entities that are added to the game, the more lore we could possibly get. For now, I like the story that GH's has created, for those of you who know, you know.

Some other tips regarding dupe: Firstly if you sit near a door and hear what sounds like a form of rumbling or scraping or any sounds that aren't normally heard in the ambience then that door will most likely get you duped, the doors that dupe resides in also have a much smaller hitbox in comparison to normal doors.

Here are some tips for new players !
1. When your doing Halts room, you can simply walk backwards instead of turning around! it takes less time and its more better.
2. U can actually hear the sound of Dupe breathing, but it will take a little bit of time to hear, so, in that case, i stand to the doors and wait to see if they open or not.
3. Always check the drawers! it can be helpful resources, such as flashlight or lighters .
4. You can either go behind a closet, either stand next to the closet (if the closets next to the wall) and turn ur head to the wall! If rush doesnt see you, it is impossible for him to get you.
5. If u saw the lights flicker but you didn’t heard rush or ambush, wait next to a closet / bed to be prepared if they’re coming. It takes less time and you also dont have trouble meeting hide.

Just so some of ya'll know you can always know the difference between dupe and a normal door. walk to the door (safe distance) and if you hear a strange muffled roar that is dupe. Make sure to check both doors (unless there's is 3 door) look for a copied numbered door and go to the one which has a different number than the other 2.
