It's refreshing to see people finally point out that there's a slowly growing theme of nature in the main floors. from Snares to the vines blocking vital things (chests, door 150 pathways). I think a vine is actually just part of this massive entity, and acts like the roots of this place (in a quite literal sense) with how it's entangled everywhere underground. Imagine we have a whole nature-themed level deeper down, where we're inside the "heart" of this entity, and it ends with us killing it

Yeah and another weird thing that the plant is always blocking our ways in secret areas or secret chests
Also my idea for a plant boss fight would be dodging snares, venus flytraps that suddenly attack and vines
While trying to get shears in order to cut the vines or Venus fly trap in the event room and we have to cut all the network vines in order to disable the entitiy and escape

The bosses in the floor 3 probably be the giant screech and the vine monster

I kinda have an idea for the boss, there would probably be a big room with the floor being a grate or something. In the middle there could be the flytrap. There would be snare traps scattered around the map connected to vines that you can see under the map. Idk tho, they might be tryna trick us.

great theory, a giant vine-snare monster boss would be epic.
but something i wanna add, there is a huge door at room 99, that can’t be opened, but it has things inside it. maybe this is somehow related to something? it’s just really strange & out of place.

It is so refreshing to see someone make a theory that isn’t related to the grumble species and seek

this is actually a really good theory. i don't think this thing is gonna be the boss of floor 3, but it could very well turn out to be a miniboss of floor 3, or a new monster in the upcoming mines + update or even the enemy of the upcoming mines' subfloor.
got to be honest, when i saw the thumbnail i thought this video was gonna be a delusional theory with zero evidence to further milk content out of doors, but you've shown good evidence, el goblino's line and the vine in the courtyard must have a meaning, i'm sorry i had a bad idea of the video at the start

Now that Floor 3 is set in a castle, it's obvious we'll get entities related to plant life, aka vines. So it would make sense that one of the new entities would be some sort of a venus flytrap.
Also, I feel those rooms with trees and chests locked with vines is indeed a teaser for what's to come and I feel like the game letting us use shears may be very well hinting that Shears will be an essential item in Floor 3

what also helps with this theory is the literal definition for the word snare, its "a trap for catching birds or animals, typically one having a noose of wire or cord." if this theory is correct then snare would match its exact definition

The important thing about the vine plant is that it seems to be closely tied to the greenhouse and associated areas. The top of the greenhouse has a large growth of vines, the courtyard basement is blocked by vines (and the giant vine is growing in that direction...? Can't be sure), all those side room shrines with a tree are exposed to the surface, with vines covering the chests, and vines poking through the hole on the ceiling. In 152, you can see a ruined wall underwater, along with an obelisk, some of the same decorations seen in the courtyard (and the other shrines). Besides, that vine is holding a lantern from the courtyard area. This also gives us a hint that some locations have greater significance than the other rooms that we find in a random order. Plus, you can find the same room as 152 later, but there is no vine, nor courtyard decoration. It's just the same layout with that water well (intact this time), 2 exits on each end, and a 3rd door where Jeff would normally be.

It would be cool to see a boss like this in a sub-level of The Mines, where you go deeper underground to get to the root of the problem. But it still prob makes more sense to see it appear in floor 3, being medieval themed and likely to have an entity as old as the castle itself (the entity being a very old and large network of vines and plants).

The floor 3 bosses will probably be: the snare, seek, queen grumble (screech) and possibly figure

Before the floor 2 nerf, you could also find snare randomly in some rooms, meaning snare still tried to kill you in the past.

Also snare was in the mines but was temporarily removed. Theory for the boss as well so if you have shears you can cut open certain areas for shortcuts (like in door 150)

You should revisit some of your old videos now that The Mines is out, as it adds some QOL changes that can also work as lore, as you said in your "Figure is the smartest entity in Doors" video, he could have locked himself in the library and electrical room, but since the release of The Mines, we can see this "Guiding Barrier" on rooms that contain Figure AND when the seek chase ends, this shows how Figure was trapped, and also gives some extra details, like how Guiding Light CAN stop Figure and Seek, but the Crucifix cannot, most likely backing up your theory of "the third light preventing the crucifix from working".
