This Quick Reference Guide will provide a clear definition and step by step details on how turn on Automatic High Beams.

A camera on your windshield aids nighttime driving by using a camera to detect headlights and taillights of preceding vehicles, and toggling accordingly between high and low beams.

Automatic Highs Beams operate at speeds above 25 mph. Factors such as dirty windshield, weather, lighting and terrain limit effectiveness, requiring the driver to manually operate the high beams. See Owner’s Manual for additional limitation and details.

Although demonstrated on the 2018 Toyota Camry, this feature is available on various other 2018 Toyota models.

I have these in my 2019 Camry it’s the coolest feature on the car

on my toyota aygo x, when i turn this feature on using the method in the video it doesn’t actually do anything, it doesn’t turn high beams off when in a lit up place and also doesn’t turn them on when it place that is very dark and no other cars

Just turned in my 2019 RAV lease (XLE Premium) for a 2022 RAV 4 limited. Both have or had this "feature", but.. Now the feature works in reverse it seems and I don't like it. With the auto high beams button pressed, the auto high beams will come on ONLY if the steering wheel stalk is in "low beam" mode or closest to driver on the 2022. The 2019 would only work the auto high beam button pressed and if the stalk was in high beam mode (and the conditions were met per the video). On the 2019, if you pulled the stalk to low beam mode, the high beams would NEVER come on. Now on the 2022, if in High Beam mode, they're always on, and the Auto only works in "low beam mode". Very annoying and counter intuitive (i.e. High beams should NEVER come on in low beam mode). Is mine wired wrong? A setting somewhere?

Can't get my head round our auto lights on our Avensis, the wife seems to have it sussed but I'm still Scratching my head after owning the car 4 years, I do sometimes notice a front vision camera blocked message come up on the dash so maybe that's the reason I can't make the auto lights work.

worst feature on a car ever. I was driving in the woods and needed my high beams on and they kept on turning off despite there being no other cars around. This was extremely irritating and in fact dangerous.

How do I add automatic high beam to my 2013 rav4 limited? The projector-beam headlights are unsafe when they are in the low beam setting as the field of illumination is sharply cut off and constantly switching between high & low beam is distracting and unsafe.

Dumbest invention! I can't drive at night without being blinded by these lights!!! This should be illegal. This is an unnecessary feature.
