Hi guys,

It's Jess here. And welcome or welcome back to my channel.
It's going to Vietnamese Lunar New Year that is called Tết. So I've been so excited for this season and decided to make a series named "Finding my perfect Spring dress".
This series will be all about puff sleeve dress . But I'll make it in the different ways.
Today's video is the first Episode of this series. I'm going to share with you how I made this Puff sleeve Selkie dress that a lot of you have been asking me to make. But I made it less puffy than the original one. So it has more vintage or cottage vibe that I want.

To make this DIY, please check out my basic information below:
- Sewing machine: Merrit Joyful Sewing
- Material: Mix Chiffon
- My body measurements: 82-64-92. I'm 165cm tall

I feel like a princess in this dress. So I could understand why so many of you love it that much. I hope you like this tutorial and find an inspiration to make one for yourself.

And stay connected around social media with me:

Credit for music:
- Music: Balloon
- Musician: @iksonmusic

Have a lovely day guys!

Cheers,
Jess

I made this dress and it looks gorgeous! Your video was extremely easy to follow along! I feel like a doll in this dress <3
Correction- for the bodice pieces, the length of the fabric is actually 22 cm, not 15 cm.
I made some personal changes that just made the dress fit a bit better to my style
- brought in the "curve" part of the bodice to 11 cm instead of 12 cm (5:50- My bust is bigger so I needed to make it 13 cm according to the video, but I brought it in so that the arm pieces will cover my regular bra when they're attached)
- this means I had to extend the outer marking to 4 cm instead of 2 cm (6:20)
- I made the arm width pieces half the size so they're less poofy (1:30- I made mine 50 x 50 cm).
I used about 250 x 265 cm fabric and it was enough for me to make some mistakes and still have enough fabric.

You are magical ♡
I've watched A LOT of sewing videos, and I've never seen patterns described and sewn up so simply before.
I have experience sewing things, but rarely adult clothing items. I LOVE dresses, and will be trying a bunch of yours soon. (Need to go buy some thrifted bedsheets for enough fabric first though!)
Love ya!

Understitching is what you did after sewing the bodice and lining right sides together, when you sewed a line to connect the lining to the seam allowance inside :) hope this helps!
