I ordered 6 yards so that I have extra to test/mess up. In the end I had a yard extra. If you're confident and want to save a bit on fabric, you can probably get away with ordering only 5 yards.

In this video, I walk you through the process of how I made the dreamy Selkie Puff dress for Kim. I used this gorgeous silk organza fabric to make it and it turned out wonderful! I've never made anything form fitting like this dress, and I didn't want to try and do something complicated like measuring and making the pattern from my head so I tried something new. It's my first time sewing with such a thin and finicky fabric, and it turned out well! I hope that you find this helpful! Comment below what I should try to make next!

I can tell you one reason shirring didn't work is you need to actually cut each row instead on just turning and sewing after you have the shifting done then iron with steam and your elastic with bunch up better....HTH

I wish my husband would make me a dress. He won't even make me a cup of coffee unless I'm sick and even then he whines a little bit and I have to scold him and remind him I'm ill.🫠 I'm seriously jealous watching this tutorial. My husband is also chinese btw. Watching handsome asian men do nice things for their wives and girlfriends is like erotica for me.
