DIY Selkie Puff Sleeve Bustier Dress 👑✨ (Ritz Gown Inspired) | Prom/Princess/Wedding Dress

Показать описание
In this video, I'll show you how to make your own Selkie Dress (Gown).
This is the first time that I worked with organza fabric. I got this beautiful organza fabric as a present from my lovely friend. She bought it from Uzbekistan for 6€ (6.5$) per meter. For the bustier lining I used my left over satin fabric that I used to make my petticoat, and I used viscose fabric (7€ (7.4$) per meter) for the skirt lining.
Instead of paying 300€+, this dress costs less than 50€ (53$) to make.
However, the prices of the fabric depends on your location.
This is what I used (Approximate Length):
5 m Organza fabric for the bodice and the skirt
1 m Viscose fabric for the skirt lining
0.3 m Satin fabric for the bodice lining
Boning
1 Thread roll (200 m)
Foam bra cup
I wore my DIY petticoat underneath to get fluffier look :)
0:20 Intro
0:44 Fabrics
0:57 Cut the fabric for the bodice
2:02 French seam technique
5:50 Insert boning to the lining
6:33 Make puff sleeves
9:41 Sew the cups
10:30 Attach the sleeve to the cup
12:50 Sew the sleeve to the bodice
14:40 Insert an invisible zipper
