I love the part where he shows us the example of driving the car while it actually has the problem so we can diagnose it.

I have a 2023 polestar fwd, all of a sudden it developed an awful wobble from the steering wheel when accelerating from 40mph up to 100mph, took it to the local garage who checked the tracking, wheels etc and they said all was fine, then booked it into Volvo who said it was the electric motor that needed replacing after various checks, £7k plus specialist tools and labour, anyway I finally got it back after a month and guess what 🤔 the wobble is still there 😡

You should specify the symptom of the vibration. Low or high speed, intermittency, etc

Interesting repair...I just went thru the same type vibration. After replacing tires, brake calipers, brake hoses, etc we discovered the problem was the ABS braking module. The vibration only showed up after the F150 had run on the interstate. It would come and go. The module itself was about $900, tires $1200. All brake work including module was just over $2000. The failed module would fail intermittently, after the truck had run about 10 miles. It would not trigger a fault signal. It felt like bad wear spots on the tires. Brand new tires did not fix the severe vibration. The repair shop was owned by a good friend and totally honest. Read and heed. The cupping tires were confirmed by my mechanic after the tire shop suggested they were the cause of the vibration. Everyone were totally honest and my mechanic friend diagnosed the problem after the new tires were installed by the tire shop. The old michelin tires had 45, 000 miles on them and were indeed cupping and would have been replaced shortly anyway. In effect, we believe the auto braking module would apply brakes to one front tire intermittently after heating up. GOOD LUCK. GOOD VIDEO. HOPE THE PROBLEM WAS THE DRIVE SHAFT

The shaft can you check it out without taking it out to see if it's damage or you have to take it all out to check?

It would have been nice if you drove the car while it was wobbling and recorded the sound of that and the way it was wobbling. I was hoping to compare that to what is causing my car to shake. But you only showed the driving once the car was fixed so that part wasn't really helpful but the rest was good information.

Was there a video showing the shaking. My GMC terrain wobbles when I’m breaking sometimes

Could y'all have replaced the U-Joint and that bushing for a fraction of the price? Labor wise, it would be longer, but cheaper.

Certainly, great video.

I had same vibration 2 years ago. No one could find the source.
I already bought a replacement driveshaft, but never got to use it.

Cos I later found out the centre support "rubber " was the cause. It was moving all over the shaft. I managed to get it fixed in its position and problem solved.
Till this day, I'm still wondering what to do with the replacement shaft I bought.

Nice video! I have a
2019Tiguan high line and when it drives around speeds of 50+ it has a severe wobble.

Thank you for the video, let me comment about the process taken, the whole video talk about replacement than anything else, I wish we could have seen both(new and old drive shafts behaviours) comparatively, it would have made more sense, I really appreciate keeping the video short but its not all about replacing .. are we selling parts?

Thanks a bunch Andy. My front and rear shocks and everything on the front end- ball joints, sway bar links, CV joints look good> Just had it checked by mechanic. I get a bit of vibration when I go over rough roads, broken patches etc., not speed bumps. Brand new tires and wheels, no squeaking or noise, even on high speeds up to 90 mph or on smooth roads. Tires and wheels brand new. After watching your video, I'm guessing it may be wheel bearings or drive shaft. It's a 2005 Chevy Cavalier- quiet idling, great engine. What do you or anyone else think it is? Thanks!!

05 Chevy Equinox with 202K miles, the wobble for me means that my truck turned on that morning and it's running! No wobble means it's not running.

I have a 2014 Yukon XL 5.3 with a misfire on the 7th cylinder. I replaced all the spark plugs and the spark plug wire and only the 7th cylinder coil. I can drive the vehicle for a day and it will start misfiring again later on in the 7th cylinder. I removed the 7th cylinder spark plug and noticed there was oil on the spark plug. So then I went old school and put a nonfouler on and another spark plug and after a while of driving I would get another misfire on the 7th cylinder. If the oil on the spark plug is what is causing the misfire what would you think is wrong with the 7th cylinder and where you think the oil is coming from and what I can do to fix it? Would this be a DIY fix for a novice? Are there any videos I can watch to be able the do this to fix my own vehicle?
Many thank!
