Dorman is going to fix the problem. This should be interesting...

That's pretty funny about the driveshaft diagnosis when you asked the customer who put it on and he said it was you...

This would have been a good one to hang a Gopro camera under the car, pointed at that joint, then take it for a spin. Thanks for posting!

I said to myself this morning if there isn’t a South Main video today, I’m going to call my Senator. Good thing we avoided that!

I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to explain your thought processes and procedures as you sleuth out problems. You are not only amazing as a mechanic but you also have impressive skills as an instructor. Your personality and sense of humor make it a pleasure to watch and learn from your videos. I also appreciate your honesty and integrity. My hat is off to you!! I have had the privilege of working with some very gifted people over the last 50 years and learned valuable skills from each of them. You have recently shown me tips or skills I wish I had learned long ago!!
Take care.

4:40 You are correct we don't lubricate those. The supplyer is supposed to.
It's always feels weird when you see someone work on a vehicle you used to help build.
Just a quick suggestion, If it's 13 though 16 year check the starter.
We had an issue with the braided cable arcing onto the fuel line directly below and would melt though it. The fix is a rubber boot over the cable post.

Its really frustrating to go through literally dozens of various shops/mechanics and never find this quality of work and this level dedication.

Hub centric rings is what that wheel needed . GREAT job Eric😎

While I don't think you did anything wrong, it's refreshing to see a mechanic doing what they can to make an issue right, and Mrs O certainly is very attractive

Today I replaced my dads caliper and fixed his other brake issues. Hes a lawyer and cant do much with his hands. lol He was just astonished at what I knew and what i could do. I gave ALL THE PROPS and MAD RESPECT to Eric O. If Eric saw the brake job I did he'd be proud. grease under the clips not on top etc.

I wish every mechanic was as honest as you, Mr. O.

Not many actually look for the problem, most want to point fingers to the other guy or play the blame game, that’s what I like about you Eric O and Rainman Ray, y’all bring a good name to auto mechanics

Oh a new drive shaft, it doesn't look like it was installed property the u joints aren't aligned... oh that was me. So admits it on camera, then takes care of his customer like a real man. Good on you Eric. My faith in humanity restored. Thank you.

I used to work at Napa for years and this happened all the time with suppliers coming and going. One of the most annoying parts of the job. I went and started my own business. Hearing that the issues haven’t changed, I’m glad I left 💀

You're correct Mr. O! A wheel with a proper sized bore is called "Hub Centric". They are called "Nut Centric" when the center bore is too large and the lug nuts create the clamping force as well as support the weight of the vehicle.

You're also bang-on with those Toyota style nuts. When used in this manner on a non-OEM wheel, they are only meant to be temporary like with the included spare tire. It's crazy how many wheels I see come in (even from another one of our stores) and it has the incorrect mounting hardware.
